James Emmanuel Viado
James is a motorsport and automotive photographer based in Manila, Philippines.
He developed an interest in photography around 2010. He studied Information Technology in college, graduated, and worked as a software developer for two years before deciding to shift careers. In 2017, he resigned from his job to pursue freelance work. In 2018, he became an in-house videographer for a top-tier wedding studio in the Philippines. In 2021, during the pandemic, a friend asked him to try shooting some cars he was working on. Later, the friend jokingly suggested he call himself “Kalbotography.” James decided to adopt the name in 2021.
Since then, Kalbotography has worked with numerous local motorsport champions, notable teams, shops, brands, and everything in between.
